Port City BPO, functioning as an entertainment recruitment, authorization, and management unit, employs rigorous measures to oversee companies, their affiliated teams, and staff. Beyond legal compliance, our focus is on fostering consensus among members and attracting aligned partners to collectively define the prestigious brand of Port City BPO.

Our overarching objective is to position Colombo as the premier destination for establishing bases for offshore entertainment services.

Registration Requirements

Documentary Requirements

The following shall be the submitted by the Applicant to Port City BPO to process its application for registration as a franchisee:

  • Submission of the duly filled-out Application For Registration Form.
  • Company overview and profile which shall include the updated organizational chart indicating the names of the personnel holding key positions.
  • Submission of the Personal Disclosure Sheet of key officers and directors.
  • Registrar of Companies registration or its foreign equivalent (original or certified true copy);
  • Latest General Information Sheet or its foreign equivalent (original or certified true copy).

Locational Requirements

Offices and operating sites must be located within the area of authority of the Colombo Port City or in the other places or buildings in the Colombo Business District designated by the CPCEC.

Submission of the copy of the lease contract or ownership of the office premises or operating site.

Eligibility of Applicants

An applicant for registration may either be a:

  • Sri Lanka-based Company – a duly constituted corporation created and organized in Sri Lanka.
  • Foreign or Offshore Company – a duly constituted business corporation created and organized in any foreign country.
Port City BPO establishes a dedicated professional management unit, meticulously overseeing operators and their respective work teams in strict adherence to the Sri Lankan laws. Our commitment extends to collaborating with government law enforcement agencies, conducting joint inspections to proactively prevent any violations.

Our comprehensive approach includes:

Pre-Operation Inspection

Conduct thorough inspections prior to the commencement of operations to ensure full compliance with prevailing laws and regulations.

Routine and Regular Inspections

Implement routine and regular inspections as part of ongoing efforts to prevent any potential violations.

Collaboration with Government Authorities

Work closely with government and public authorities, fostering a collaborative environment to enhance overall management and control. This involves conducting joint inspections to address regulatory concerns effectively.
By adhering to these measures, Port City BPO strives to maintain a high standard of compliance and operational integrity within the parameters outlined by the Sri Lankan laws.

Enforcements

  • Violators will be handed over to public authorities for law enforcement in accordance with Sri Lankan laws.
  • Fines will be imposed on offenders as per the stipulations in the Sri Lankan laws.
  • Deduction of points due to violations will be recorded, serving as a reference during the license renewal process.
  • In the event of a serious violation, the license may be revoked in adherence to regulatory provisions.
